This Privacy Policy describes how Trivia Hop (“the App”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile apps and website at TriviaHop.com (together, the “Services”).

1. Information We Collect

Account and Identity

Email address (for sign-in via one-time codes)
Display name / profile info you provide

Gameplay

Questions served and answers chosen
Correct/incorrect results, answer timing (ms), streaks, daily counters
Device locale/timezone for daily resets

Device and App Diagnostics

App version, device model, OS version, language/region
Crash logs, performance metrics

Advertising and Analytics

Mobile ad identifiers (e.g., IDFA/AAID)
Interaction data with ads (impressions, clicks)
Aggregated usage analytics

Website

Cookies/local storage for session and preferences
Standard web logs (IP address, user agent, referrer)

We do not collect your contact lists, photos/videos, precise GPS location, or microphone/camera data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We may use collected data to:

Provide core features (serve questions, score, leaderboards)
Secure the Services (authentication, fraud/abuse prevention, rate limiting)
Improve performance and reliability (debugging, analytics)
Personalize experience (difficulty mixing, UI preferences)

3. Legal Bases (EEA/UK users)

5. Advertising and Your Choices

Free users may see ads. Partners may use device identifiers and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads.

Controls:

Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset/Opt out of Ads Personalization
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Ads → Limit/Disable
You may also see in-app toggles for ad personalization where required.

6. Analytics

We may use analytics to understand aggregate usage and improve the App (e.g., session counts, crash rates, feature engagement). Where required, we request consent and/or provide an opt-out.

7. Data Retention

Account data (email, display name): kept while your account is active.
Gameplay logs & leaderboards: retained to operate scoring and anti-fraud; may be aggregated/anonymized over time.
Diagnostics/analytics: retained for a limited period necessary for troubleshooting and trend analysis.
We delete or anonymize data when no longer needed for the purposes above, subject to legal obligations.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures (e.g., token-based auth, transport encryption). No method is 100% secure; please use a unique email account you control and keep your device up to date.

9. Children

Trivia Hop is intended for users 13+ (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us to remove it.

10. International Transfers

We may process data in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required by law.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data; to object or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. To exercise rights, contact support@gammaape.com. We may ask to verify your identity.

Each provider processes data under its own policy. We limit sharing to what’s necessary to provide the Services.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy occasionally. We’ll post the new effective date above and, for material changes, notify you via the App or email.
